Creative Yet Simple Idea Designs for Your Baby’s Room

baby boy room themesWaiting for your little bundle of joy to arrive can take some time. The last few months of waiting can, in fact, be the most ideal time for you to think about just how you would like your little one’s room to look like. Like any other parent, you of course would like to see to it that your little baby would have the best that the world has to offer in terms of living space. But do remember that the best need not be so elaborate or so expensive. In fact, there are many ways in how you can decorate your baby’s living space without having to make it so complex or so financially draining.

Wall Stencils and Transfers
To add a little pizzazz and cheerful feeling to your baby’s room, stencils that come in different kiddies’ designs and patterns can do wonders to add a certain touch to your child’s room. In fact, the size of a baby’s room makes it ideal for you to experiment with what type of design you can use to make the room look cheery and child-friendly.

If painting on a wall is not your thing, there are many wall transfers out now in the market that can fit your nursery’s theme. Most of them are quite inexpensive and easy to use.

Baskets and Buckets
You can place a number of baskets which can serve as containers for your baby’s used clothes since your baby will need to be changed quite often. Try decorating the baskets with ribbons and you can even place your baby’s name on it for that added personal touch.

Colorful, plastic, carry-all buckets make great containers for all those baby toys which your baby will surely be using as he advances through the months.

Old Picture Books and Contemporary Art
Go to second-hand stores and thrift shops and search for old picture books. Cut out the pictures from these books and frame them. They make for good contemporary art which you can easily place on the walls of your baby’s nursery.

Handprint banner
You can also decorate your baby’s room after he is born with a banner running through the room. Have your baby place his handprint on the banner. This would certainly give the room your baby’s very own signature and it would really make him say in his own little way that the room is definitely his.

Baby Food Bottle Snowglobes
Children and babies alike are always fascinated with snowglobes. Create some using old baby bottles. Simply glue some miniature figurines on the lid and fill the bottle with water and a few drops of vinegar to deter molds from forming. Add some glitter to the ensemble and shut the lid tightly. This should keep your baby busy for hours as he gets to be continually mesmerized by the globe you’ve created.

Decorating a nursery need not be too fancy to look homey. What is important is the love and care that you placed into that room while decorating it as this will be a reflection of how much love you will be placing on your little one.
