How to Choose the Right Low Voltage Landscape Lights

Low Voltage Landscape LightHow useful would a flexible gooseneck light be to attach somewhere near your barbecue if you were having an evening BBQ? I would hazard a guess and say very useful.

Most of them feature long lasting LED bulbs so they should be easy on maintenance.

What do you want from a low voltage landscape light? Do you want it merely as a feature or do you want it for security reasons?

It really doesn’t matter why you have it, it will still give you security and at the same time illuminate your garden so well that you can enjoy a stroll around on a warm evening even if it is dark.

Perhaps you have a nice deck or patio area which you feel you are not getting enough pleasure from. The answer to this certainly is to get yourself some low voltage lighting.

There are uplights, downlights, side lights, lights down on the ground in fact just about any type you could wish for.

You can then have those very pleasurable evening meals outside when the weather is still warm enough with friends and family. Eating al fresco is still a very great pleasure to most people.

Maybe your garden is on many levels which necessitates having garden steps, these can be quite a hazard unless they are easy to see at night. There are many of the type of light which you affix to steps for just this purpose. They don’t get in the way they just give you light where it is most needed.

You can use your imagination fully when it comes to choosing your outdoor lights. I saw one quite amusing design which was a frog holding up an umbrella, underneath of which of course was the light.

There are rocks with the lights inset into them and they look very good and give a feature light, illuminating some garden feature without in any way being intrusive. They will look as though they have actually been there forever.

You may want your lights to be as unobtrusive as possible but on the other hand you may want them to be a feature in themselves.

Believe me there are many which come into this bracket, I have seen flower shapes, hanging lantern shapes, lanterns looking like little cottages, animals, palm trees etc. They are all there waiting for you to make a choice of your particular style of low voltage landscape light.
