Tumble Dryers: Why You Should Have One

tumble dryersYou’ll have considered purchasing a tumble dryer if you are tired of having to dry your clothes manually. However, you have to make sure your dryer which you purchase is going to continues to work to its fullest potential but also for safety reasons is cleaning the lint filter. This should go a long way to keeping your dryer happy, giving you years of hassle free laundry to (almost) look forward to.
The capacity of the normal size machine is either 6kg or 7kg and for the large size it is 10kg. There are many drying programs like the cupboard dry, extra dry, iron, easy iron, wool, and anti-crease. You’ll also need to look at load capabilities. Bigger is generally better, but take heed of your washing machine’s load capabilities too.
There are currently three types of tumble dryers available and they are the electric vented dryer, electric condenser dryer and the gas tumble dryer. The gas dryers are the most energy efficient but they can sometimes be difficult to get hold of. Gas tumble dryers run off your normal gas supply but you will have to pay a plumber to get your gas dryer professionally installed due to health and safety requirements.
Condenser dryer usually have a temperature setting. Cotton and natural fibres can take much higher temperatures than man made fibres, which can be damaged by a high heat. For thick clothes, high temperature should be selected and for the light clothes, low temperature should be selected. There is also a buzzer at the end of the program.
A vented dryer will simply blow its hot air to the outside, a condenser dryer has to keep all of its hot air on the inside. There is a special chamber for this inside of the condenser dryer.
